J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks
Cabernet Sauvignon

America’s most popular AVA-labeled Cabernet

Our Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard blocks in Paso Robles were some of the original sources for this iconic wine more than 30 years ago; they featured views of a stand of seven majestic oak trees, which still thrive today.

“The J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon showcases layered aromas of black currant, blueberry, and cherry – accented by an authentic barrel bouquet of hazelnut, cocoa powder, and dark roasted coffee. High-toned red berry fruit strikes the fore-palate, and follows with bright acidity and a full structure that is both dense and soft at the same time.” — Steve Peck, Director of Winemaking

Storied Success

When it comes to growing and producing great Cabernet, experience matters. Jerry Lohr and his team found in Paso Robles, with its warm days and dramatic diurnal temperature swings, optimal conditions for growing the noble Cabernet Sauvignon grape.

Sustainable 1

Sustainably Crafted

J. Lohr helped write the book on conscientious “farming for the future” winegrowing practices. J. Lohr was among the very first vineyards and wineries in 2010 to earn the Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing distinction from the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. From scientifically determining and minimizing water needs block by block, to the industry’s largest vineyard solar energy array, J. Lohr’s commitment to “farming for the future” directly leads to better quality wines.

Seasonally Perfect

While Seven Oaks is certainly one of the country’s go-to Cabernets year-round, summer is when the wine really shines! Its Pure Paso character is the perfect pairing. Grill and barbecue. Elegant dining. Informal al fresco get togethers. You name it, Seven Oaks is a summertime staple on dinner tables and picnic cloths everywhere.
