Throughout J. Lohr’s first fifty years, community support and giving back have been an important part of the company's all-encompassing sustainability ethos.

As part of our 50th anniversary, we will be partnering with a charitable, non-profit organization in each state to support their mission with a $5,000 donation – for a total of more than $250,000 nationwide. You can read the press release here.

The mission of Bread For Life is to provide food, fellowship and a sense of dignity to those in need. We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that relies on the generosity of our community to help us fulfill our mission that no one goes hungry in our town. Our vision is accomplished by providing meals served daily in our kitchen, delivered within our senior community and also to our home-bound citizens, and to children in the summer. Bread For Life strives to help our clients with their personal needs through referrals to appropriate agencies. We also are a voice to educate our community on hunger and poverty.

Founded in 1986, the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware provides a safe, affordable "home away from home" to families of seriously or chronically ill or injured children who are being treated at area hospitals and operates 3 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms within pediatric units of hospitals across Delaware. The House is a place where families can stay together and receive the kind of special care they need at such difficult times. Families find a bit of comfort and peace and a hot evening meal after a long day at the Hospital. The Banquet
Our mission is to provide a welcoming place where people can gather, receive nourishment and experience love in action, and to assist volunteers in providing food and fellowship to those served through the ministry of The Banquet. The Banquet meal ministry was founded in 1985 starting with just one meal per week. We now serve 16 meals per week at two locations. The Banquet is a volunteer-based ministry, which means our meals are paid for, prepared by, and served by volunteer groups who come from Sioux Falls and the surrounding area.
