Member of the Board of Directors
J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines
For more than two decades Ken Lee has been an integral part of the J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines team. During his tenure, Ken has established a world-class, in-house sales force that has grown from 5 to 43 people. This talented, handpicked group covers a territory that includes all 50 states and 30 countries. Guided by Ken, the team has earned a reputation for excellence and consistency. All eight of J. Lohr’s division managers have been with the company for a minimum of 17 years. As a result, J. Lohr has been able to develop lasting relationships with a global network of distributors, while building recognition and respect for J. Lohr’s brands, both nationally and internationally.
Ken joined J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines in 1986 as the company’s Midwest regional manager, and in 1988 he became Eastern U.S. manager, handling all states east of the Mississippi. Soon after, he was promoted to national sales manager, and began actively building the winery’s skilled sales team. “In addition to the exceptional quality of our wines, J. Lohr’s reputation has been built on service. I am incredibly proud of our sales team. They understand that this business is about people and relationships and treating your customers fairly and honestly.”
Ken joined the company board of directors in 2003 and became J. Lohr’s senior vice president of sales in 2005. Adding to the continuity and close-knit nature of his team, Ken’s daughter Amber is J. Lohr’s Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee regional manager, while his son Andrew joined the company in 2008 as Northern California area manager. Ken holds a degree in business administration from Franklin University, and served for six years in the United States Marine Corps.
