Arroyo Seco Vineyards,
Monterey County
Introduction |
Arroyo Seco | Paso
Robles | Napa
Valley
J. Lohr owns and manages over 900 acres in the Arroyo
Seco winegrowing region, which is located in Monterey
County, California. The region is an officially designated
American Viticultural Area, and has perhaps the longest
growing season of any wine growing region in California.
While most wineries don't own the majority of their
vineyard sources, J. Lohr has the greatest control over
quality from vineyard to bottle. Over the years, we
have constantly improved the natural balance in the
vineyards, and our Arroyo Seco vineyards yield rich
and flavorful Chardonnay, White Riesling, Pinot Blanc
and Valdiguié.

Most of the fruit from Arroyo Seco Vineyards is utilized
in our J. Lohr Estates line of wines, including Riverstone
Chardonnay, Bay
Mist White Riesling, and Wildflower
Valdiguié. But we found the fruit from one
block, the Arroyo Vista Vineyard, to be so incredible
that it merits its own bottling: J.Lohr
Arroyo Vista Chardonnay.
