Help celebrate the 15th anniversary of our J. Lohr Hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon at our Hilltop Vineyard! One of our most highly anticipated events each year, our J. Lohr Wine Club Hilltop Barbecue offers an unforgettable opportunity to enjoy a scrumptious barbecue in the vineyard, while overlooking a beautiful summer sunset and savoring our delicious J. Lohr Hilltop Cabernet.

Meet at our J. Lohr Paso Robles Wine Center at 5:30 pm to ride the trolley to the Hilltop Vineyard. Barbecue provided by Cahoots Catering.

In celebration of Wine Festival Weekend, we will be tasting not only our regular J. Lohr selections but also two first ever produced wines here at J. Lohr - our J. Lohr Gesture Viognier and J. Lohr Gesture Grenache Rosé.  These wines will not be distributed, so you’ll need to stop by the wine center for a taste. 

Those of you who love our Bordeaux blends will be delighted to hear that we’ll be featuring our J. Lohr Cuvée PAU all weekend.  We’ll be digging through our library to find some older vintages you’ve not seen in  awhile.

Browse the outdoor gallery of original works created by renowned California Plein Air artists. By invitation each year, a handpicked group of artists lose themselves for two days in the natural beauty of La Cuesta Encantada, painting diverse and magnificent works of art for this premier fine art exhibit. Proceeds from the sale of the paintings fund ArtReach, pairing at-risk youth with artist mentors to nurture partnership and creativity. J. Lohr will be presenting our 2006 J. Lohr Hilltop Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2007 J. Lohr Arroyo Vista Chardonnay.

We’re pleased to welcome back Chef Charlie to kick off Wine Festival weekend! Chef Charlie tantalized our taste buds during the 2009 Zinfandel Festival with his delicious assorted hors d’oeuvres, and his spectacular cuisine made our Wine and Food Pairing Seminar a huge hit. For Wine Festival Friday, Chef Charlie will be doing something entirely new and spectacular for J. Lohr—a Polynesian-style roasted pig luau! This traditional Hawaiian pig feast will be accompanied by roasted and grilled veggies, Hawaiian rice salad and grilled pineapple, as well as music and lots of fun!
