Chardonnay for Painter Bridge is grown in the cool and windy Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County, renowned for producing Chardonnays with powerful aromatics and remarkable texture. This Chardonnay is first fermented in older French oak barrels to enhance the pure fruit expression. After completion of alcoholic fermentation, the barrels are stirred, and the Chardonnay ages for 2 months with yeast lees. After barrel aging, the wine is transferred to a stainless steel tank and blended with a touch of Orange Muscat to enhance the bold fruitiness with an enticing floral character. The resulting wine is delightfully full-flavored with pretty, forward fruit aromas creating a pleasant, quaffable Chardonnay.
Delicious now, but can be cellared for up to five years.

This 2012 Painter Bridge Chardonnay is pale yellow in color with attractive aromas of pear, golden delicious apple and honeysuckle. The aromas are echoed on the silky-textured palate, which is balanced with fresh acidity and richness.
