Lawrence Lohr, director of wine education, takes you on a tour of the wonderful world of Cabernet Sauvignon. This educational seminar will feature a guided tasting of Cabernet Sauvignon from Bordeaux to California, with an emphasis on J. Lohr Cabernet Sauvignon from the Paso Robles and Napa Valley appellations. Learn about what it takes to produce world class Cabernet Sauvignon, the importance of soil and climate in growing the grapes and the various factors that affect style and varietal character. This is the second of four classes in the 2012 Wine 102 Education Series. Other classes include a Pinot Noir Symposium on September 13th, a Descriptor Seminar on October 11th, and a Blending Seminar on October 25th.
