Host an Event

Uncertain about how much wine to buy for your event? Plan like a pro! Count on 1 glass per person every 45-60 minutes. So for a 2 hour event, plan on about 2-3 glasses per person. Be a responsible host or hostess by providing food to go along with the beverages and cap the servings at 3 per person, regardless of the duration of the event.

Start with an estimate of the drinking preferences of your guests, and divide the number of guests among the types of beverages you plan to serve.

For example:
20 guests for a 2 hour event
50% will drink red wine
25% will drink white wine
25% will drink non-alcoholic beverages

Enter these numbers into our Party Planning Calculator and it will tell you how many cases or bottles you will need to buy of each beverage.  Round up to the nearest bottle to be sure to have an adequate supply.  In this example, you will need 6 bottles of red wine, 3 bottles of white wine, and 3 bottles (750 ml) of non-alcoholic beverages.
